LAIKA Interior Design

To say we were excited when LAIKA reached out needing help updating the main lobby in their studio located just outside Portland, Or is quite the understatement. After some initial calls and back and forth brainstorming, they leaned on us to update everything: paint colors, lighting, furniture and graphics.

The main elements are a custom coffee table inspired by animation work tables and some bespoke shelving made out of reclaimed wood and LED lighting to showcase special artifacts. After it was all built, we got our hands dirty sanding and adding weathering effects to make it look well used. When this project was complete they asked us to build out a stairwell installation made of wood slats and a large dimensional LAIKA logo.
